The 2007 Summer Season: Off to a Great Start
June 2nd 2007 by phidgt in GolfingAfter a cold and rainy Memorial Weekend, the skies cleared and the sun came out. The grounds crew had their work cut out for them getting the greens mowed and the landscaping spruced up. Everything was in order for a spectacular weekend of golf. The weather was perfect and the golfers were able to get in four rounds of golf on Saturday. The golfers included Phrog, Seymour, Rhys, and Lock with Dave Allen joining in for the final round. This was Dave Allen’s first game played at the Steamboat Hills course and he did quite well shooting a 3 over par. Not shabby for a first timer. Phrog also got in some good rounds shooting 7’s and 8’s under par consistently.
The show-boater of the day was Seymour. All the way up from Denver, he managed to maintain a score of 5 under for the four rounds played on Saturday. On round three he made a hole in one on hole 9. The first hole in one for the 2007 summer season. Last year’s hole in one shooter was phrog, hitting a hole in one on holes 3, 4 and 6. It looks like the Steamboat Hills golf pro may be getting a little competition this year.
