Just One More

There was just enough time for one more round before Seymour had to journey back to Denver. It was an even scoring match between him and phrog until they reached hole 5. Seymour started to struggle just barely making par. phrog pulled ahead making a birdie on hole 6 and a hole in one on 7. The round ended with phrog at 8 under and Seymour with 6 under.

The 2007 Summer Season: Off to a Great Start Part 2

June 3rd 2007 by phidgt in Golfing

After Saturday’s big day of golf, the players were a bit tired and ready for a few relaxing rounds. The first round was played in the morning with just Seymour and phrog. Things got off to a pretty slow start, but then it was a pretty slow day. Afternoon clouds rolled in bringing some welcome rain and some much needed rest for the golfers. After a few hours the skies once again cleared and our golfers were ready for another round. This time phrog and Seymour were joined by phidgt. She managed to pull off a 3 over par despite suffering from a sunburn received on Saturday and losing two balls. Noah arrived at the clubhouse for a round late in the day. When the weather cooperates, the Steamboat Hills Country Club can be played until 8:00pm in the summertime. It was another great round for Seymour. He shot a 10 under par. A personal best for him at the course.

The 2007 Summer Season: Off to a Great Start

June 2nd 2007 by phidgt in Golfing

After a cold and rainy Memorial Weekend, the skies cleared and the sun came out. The grounds crew had their work cut out for them getting the greens mowed and the landscaping spruced up. Everything was in order for a spectacular weekend of golf. The weather was perfect and the golfers were able to get in four rounds of golf on Saturday. The golfers included Phrog, Seymour, Rhys, and Lock with Dave Allen joining in for the final round. This was Dave Allen’s first game played at the Steamboat Hills course and he did quite well shooting a 3 over par. Not shabby for a first timer. Phrog also got in some good rounds shooting 7’s and 8’s under par consistently.
The show-boater of the day was Seymour. All the way up from Denver, he managed to maintain a score of 5 under for the four rounds played on Saturday. On round three he made a hole in one on hole 9. The first hole in one for the 2007 summer season. Last year’s hole in one shooter was phrog, hitting a hole in one on holes 3, 4 and 6. It looks like the Steamboat Hills golf pro may be getting a little competition this year.
